Measurement System Analysis
Quality of the product is dependent upon quality of process which in turn depends upon quality of measurement. This training focuses in equipping participants with in-sight view and total exposure to the concept, requirements and practices of Measurement System Analysis. The course has been designed on internationally established guidelines published by AIAG, USA. It not only covers the principles behind MSA but, will also enable participants practice analysis in the class.
Key Learning:
- Understanding Measurement Process - Statistical properties of measurement system, Effect measurement process on measurement decisions and SWIPE
- Measurement Process & PDCA
- Basic statistics in MSA – Variation due to common & special causes, Control and normal distribution, Statistical stability, Type I & Type II errors,
- Location & Width measurement process variations & their contribution to Manufacturing process variation
- MSA for simple measurement system, preconditions, interpretation of result & role of graphical analysis
- Bias – Independent sample method and Control chart method
- GRR – Average & Range method, ANOVA method, No. of Distinct Data Categories, Pooled standard deviation approach, Gauge Performance Curve (GPC)
- Linearity - Numerical Method and Graphical Method
- Stability study
- Attribute study – Risk Analysis Method, Analytical Method and KAPPA Method
- MSA for complex & non repeatable measurement systems
Pedagogy:
- Classroom training on basics & illustrative examples.
- Practice through practical exercises
- Participants are recommended to bring Computer loaded with MS Excel for best learning.
